Reactions abound in this unique piece. White, grey and cream on the inside; cream, lavender and sage on the outside. Yummy from inside out!
The colours in this piece were created by first sliding melting glass on a tilted kiln shelf to create wispy painterly streaks, then crushing the glass and re-meling it into a base sheet; finally stretching the glass into this delicate, Monet-inspired deep bowl.
In this piece, glass has been cut into squares, stacked, melted, broken, and re-fused, and the resulting mosaic style stretched into this lovely bowl. 6" x 7"w
Pale blues and violet adorn this delicate, super-thin beauty.
Custom-designed using clear glass with powders, fused and dropped (melted) through a ring mold to create the bowl shape.
Final preparation includes cutting off the excess rim and cold-working, and finally sandblasting the glass to create a soft matte surface.

Glass powders kiln-fused and stretched into a delicate vase / deep bowl.
A unique coral-pink coloured hexagon bowl. Made by "stretching" powdered glass to create these beautiful striations and finished with a beveled edge for refinement.
When this piece was first fired, it had the distinct pattern of a Four Leaf Clover! Although the image has stretched and disappeared, I like to think that's it's still there, bringing some good luck... :-)
