As the seasons tick over, life and art continues to evolve...
Although staying at home during the pandemic
didn't translate to more time in the studio,
it allowed me to revisit, refine and combine various skills.
And it has made me appreciate
bringing beauty into the world even more...
Glass that looks like ceramic?
Glass has so many different personalities:
matte or glossy, opaque or translucent, sparkly or dark...
It can take on the appearance of pottery when gently sandblasted, or the appearance of snow-cone slush with "pate de verre".
It can be hard, unyielding, or flow and be made to bubble and "boil".
It can be combed and compressed, shattered and made anew.
